Cincinnati, Ohio, January 27, 2014 – RelaDyne, the nation’s leading provider of lubricants, fuel, diesel exhaust fluid (DEF), and industrial reliability services, has continued to expand its reliability focus in the north by naming Doug Muennich as RelaDyne’s Industrial Business Development Manager in the Midwest region.
Muennich hit the ground running in his defined new role while actively transitioning out of his current role as RelaDyne’s Cincinnati Branch Sales Manager. As Industrial Business Development Manager, Muennich will focus on two primary responsibilities: driving sales opportunities and expanding RelaDyne’s Field Reliability Management (FRM) business in the Midwest.
Muennich joined RelaDyne with 30 years of experience as a lubrication engineer and background in industrial lubricants and oil contamination through oil degradation and varnish formation. He is one of the leading developers of today’s new resin-based varnish mitigation technology and responsible for introducing this technology into the gas turbine/power generation market worldwide.
Muennich spent five years studying the products of oil oxidation and the formation of varnish with Kleentek Japan’s Dr. Akira Sasaki, one of the most recognized Tribologists in the world. With Muennich’s industry knowledge and expertise, he has published oil contamination and varnish-related articles in lubrication industry publications and presented white papers and technical presentations on these topics around the world.
At RelaDyne, Muennich will focus his efforts on RelaDyne FRM services business with a concentration in varnish mitigation for the injection molding industry. “I am very excited with my new role in RelaDyne,” says Muennich. “I believe this will give me an opportunity to use my industry knowledge and relationships to drive new sales growth and profitability with RelaDyne.”
As RelaDyne’s expert on varnish mitigation, Muennich will work with other Reliability Solutions Specialists at RelaDyne to enhance their varnish knowledge and technical capabilities. Dan Oehler, RelaDyne Vice President of Sales and Marketing, states, “Doug is passionate about his new role and is a strong resource and asset inside of RelaDyne. He has tremendous support as he begins the alignment of his new roles and responsibilities.”
