HOUSTON, Texas, January 31, 2012 – Hurt Company, a RelaDyne Company in Houston, Texas, is bringing to the public a free education-focused seminar designed to provide market trends and product solutions centered on diesel exhaust fluid, the USA operating fluid for selective catalytic reductions (SCR) in diesel engines.
Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) is a mixture of 32.5% urea and 67.5% de-ionized mineralized water designed to reduce NOx emissions required by the Environmental Protection Agency’s Clean Air Act that took effect on January 1, 2010. “This seminar,” states Mike Ladd, DEF Sales Manager of RelaDyne, “will help users of DEF understand how to handle and store the product properly in order to avoid contamination and vehicle maintenance problems.”
Fleets, municipalities, construction companies, fire departments, ambulance services, transit and bus authorities, and heavy equipment rental companies are just a few of the types of attendees that Mike Ladd listed who can gain much-needed knowledge on DEF and have their own questions answered by industry experts.
The seminar’s expert instructors include Brian Hoover, Senior Regional Manager of Yara, the global leader in Air1 Diesel Exhaust Fluid for the US market; Max Boffa, DEF Territory Manager for Mansfield Oil, the fuel solutions provider for North America; and Mike Ladd, DEF Sales Manager of RelaDyne, the equipment reliability management company delivering broad-based lubrication products and services throughout the Midwest and Gulf Coast. In addition to better understanding the DEF industry, attendees will receive an introduction and overview of Chevron’s Delo line of products by Chevron Packaging Supervisor, Merritt Wikle.
Information-hungry attendees will leave with satisfied appetites, as the event is held during lunch at Brady’s Landing in Houston, Texas. Attendees who RSVP early may even leave with a little extra – an Apple iPad will be raffled along with other giveaway items. The seminar begins at 10:30 A.M. on February 9, 2012. “We are expecting a lot of people to attend since 2012 brings with it changes in DEF infrastructure and supply points, some things that every DEF consumer should know,” says Richard Oaks, General Manager of Hurt Company of RelaDyne. “Our RSVP list is growing every day.”
