Varnish Mitigation

Varnish is a thin, hard, lustrous, oil-insoluble deposit, composed primarily of organic residue, and most readily definable by color intensity. It is not easily removed by wiping with a clean, dry, soft, lint-free wiping material and is resistant to saturated solvents. Its color may vary, but it usually appears in gray, brown, or amber hues.

IAS has pioneered a new generation of Rapid Varnish Removal in turbine oils. Our process not only ensures varnish and soft contaminants are removed but also deposits and buildup throughout the oil system.

Fluid Purification

The harmful effects of water and particulate contamination in hydraulic, lubrication and & dielectric oils have been well documented.

IAS has developed an advanced fluid purification process which is guaranteed to render oil lines to -40°C to -80°C dew points as part of the multi-step vacuum distillation, dehydration and oil purification process. IAS utilizes a combination of low vacuum to vaporize the water in lubrication and hydraulic systems during the fluid purification process. This includes IAS’ “micro filtration” oil purification process.
